Her first impression of the owner, and from the way Jonathan spoke to her, helped that voice shred her confidence, but a part of her that she thought had died suddenly sparked and got her the job.

Serenity wasn't the dive everyone had told her it was. From what she could see from the dish room, it was a respectable restaurant, and nothing seemed out of place...
