I loved it. I read it in a day. I had actually read two pages and thought what in the world is going on? Then by chapters end it had given you the characters' descriptions and loads of emotions! I felt many things...the biggest was curiosity to continue on with the main character, Sara. She lost so much and was treated so wrong...then she is racing to find her son! My momma bear claws came out. I get that way with my own kids . So, I so tuned in on Sara ( and her emotions) and was crying a lot for her in this novel. Then the anger, happy, scared, thrilled, worried etc. feelings all came through me. It reads very quick because you can't wait to see what happens next! It ends nicely. By that I mean, no big cliffhanger or leaving you hitting a brick wall after all the action. But, I had the next novel ready and read it half way before going to bed! It is an awesome novel for all vamp fans. The author has a different twist and set of rules for her vampires. I like that because...Anne Rice has her style, just as Stephanie Meyers has her own style. Great!!

A really good story brought about with a fresh idea. This book is not the normal for this genre and it's a really good read.

I loved this book. Now I must get the next book...what is Sara's fate? I am hoping for some twists but a happy ending for Sara & Eric.

This book is among the few that I just could not put down until the end.
Never expected to end this way but shows how far a mothers love will go!!

The author really pulled you into the characters from the beginning till the end. Unlike most thrillers, there were no weird love twist and the story gave lots of non stop action in every chapter without being repetitive. I was up all night reading this story, and I look forward to more in the series, as well as from this author.

This was an innovative story of two sisters and their differences. Sara worships the Goddess and gets her strength from her Wiccan faith. She is attacked and bitten, her son taken. Her quest to find him and the vampires she meets along the way make for interesting and exciting reading. I really liked it and plan to read the rest of the series. I would recommend this book to anyone that has read a lot of vampire books and wants something with a fresh perspective.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a quick read. It's the story of what a mother is willing to do for her child. As a mom, I could really relate to Sara and found the story very believable from that perspective. I love the characters and there is something about Vincent that just makes me want to scream and run for the hills, both from joy and fright. Sara is an interesting creation and is a great basis for a terrific heroin. The ending appears to be setting up a series and I am very interested in seeing where this goes.

This book immediately grabbed my attention and kept it. I felt really sorry for Sara and suitably creeped out by Vincent and Robin.
I was quite pleased to see that this appears to be the start of a series, I can't wait to read more and find out more about the SireLords

I really enjoyed this book. Vampires hunting other vampires to kill them because someone is creating new ones to build up an army? Interesting. The book moved pretty fast & could be a little confusing at first (jumps back in time a few times as Sara falls onto some old memories). It ended with you wanting more & cant wait to read the next book (tho it may be awhile).
